AS Foundation Portfolio

Research Tasks
1 Carry out research into the Genre of the film you are going to produce, make notes on the codes and conventions of the Genre and post them on your Blog. Don’t forget to also post illustrations from the films you refer to in your notes.
2 Everyone in the group must write an analysis each (1200 words) on the opening title sequence of a film from the same Genre, (there are lots of examples on artofthetitle.com). Include details of the following:
  • Camera angle, movement and position
  • Editing
  • Mise-en-scene
  • Sound
  • Titles
Illustrate your analysis with stills from the film or a short video clip.
3 Carry out a vox pop with members of your ‘target audience’ to find out if there is an audience for your film. Post the video on your Blog.
Please note that all the above work must be carried out before you make your film
